Retail is all about customer service and it should be... to an extent. I think what the major retailers are ignoring are the facts that if they make their associates happy, they become more productive, that positive message gets sent out to their customers, thus their customers buy more etc. I don't understand why retailers are the way they are. In my job, we are forced to take back anything and many customers go in repeatedly making fradulent returns knowing they can get away with it. I don't understand it and I don't think it's right... companies lose millions... so why always bend over backwards for people that are essentially screwing you?
What does everyone else think of this?
To be honest... I think retail should be union-ized!
